Each of the forty parables addressed in this book is preceded by a short introduction, termed “preamble”, which depicts the circumstances and the conversations that led to the parable; the parable’s hidden lessons become clearer once the context is known. The parables are listed at random, instead of being grouped under different headings according to the nature of their core messages. This has been done on purpose to avoid compartmentalizing them into a rigid perspective as there are several aspects to some parables as enunciated by the Master. This will allow readers the opportunity to expand their thinking horizons while trying to absorb both the obvious and not-so-obvious message embedded in the parables; they can also come up with their own interpretations.
